Recently I was interviewed by the Detroit Free Press about my Creative Career in the Hobby & Craft Industry. I was so excited and truly honored to be one of their featured guest on what they call “Five Questions”. Check it out!

Encrusted Jewel Stone Necklace

Exclusive project for ILOVETOCREATE by Julianna C Hudgins

Supplies Needed: Aleene’s Super Thick Tacky Glue, Tulip Fashion Glitter Orange, Tulip Fashion Glitter Bond, Tulip Glam-it-up Iron On Crystals, Spellbinders Die Cutting Machine, Jewel Stone dies by Julianna Hudgins, Royal Langnickel Engraving Art Copper Foil, WigJig Olympus, Artistic Wire Bare Copper Wire 18G and Copper Wire Mesh

Using your Spellbinders Grand Caliber Die Cutting Machine

Cut and Emboss Jewel Stone dies out of Royal Langnickel Engraving Art Copper Foil. Sand each piece using fine sandpaper to expose copper color on foil. Adhere two of the same stones together using Aleene’s Super Thick Tacky Glue so front and back sides are finished. See finished image for total quantity and shape of stones used for this project.

Using the Glitter sponge applicator spread Tulip Glitter Fashion Glue between embossed areas of stones and sprinkle Tulip Fashion Glitter. Embed gemstones into glitter while still wet. Add extra Glitter Glue to bottoms of gemstones if needed.

Using your Wigjig Olympus Jig, create random patterns to attach pieces together. Add Artistic Wire Mesh at ends of finished pieces and tie together to create a choker type necklace.

Jewel Goddess Wire Pendant Necklace

This is one of my most favorite necklaces using my NEW Spellbinders Jewel Goddess die and Artistic Wire

I used the Deluxe Coiling Gizmo and 20G Artistic Wire in beautiful Silver Colored Copper wire to make these colorful wire beads. You can watch a tutorial on how to make the beads by clicking here
You can use different colors of Shrink Plastic to make the Jewel Goddess Pendant. In this example I used Bright White.
Simply Instructions:
Cut the small Jewel Goddess out of Bright White Shrink Plastic
Add a hole to top of Goddess using 1/8 Round Hole Punch
Follow directions on Shrink Plastic packaging and shrink Goddess
Remove Goddess from Toaster Oven and let cool
Apply Ranger Alcohol Inks to sponge and randomly apply to Goddess for desired look
Add Glaze or spray adhesive to secure inks
Add finished Jewel Goddess Pendant to Wire Beads
