Pat Sloan Creative Talk Radio

I am so honored that Pat Sloan asked me to be a guest on her Radio Talk Show tomorrow afternoon Monday, October 18th at 4:00 p.m. East Coast time. You can listen to the show LIVE by following this link  http://toginet.com/shows/creativetalkradio  or download it afterwards. The show is also available on ITUNES which is beyond cool!

Pat and I were introduced by the one and only Roseann Kermes, Quilt Goddess and Owner of the Rosebud’s Cottage located in the St. Paul MN area. In addition, Pat and I were both featured on Kathy Peterson’s Adirondack Chair Blog Hop. I was absolutely in awe over her chair that she recreated a quilt wedding pattern on in Bright Reds and Yellows. True talent is all I can say!

Week 5 Kathy Peterson’s Design My Adirondack Blog Hop

A Huge Thank You to Kathy Peterson and Cedar Store for inviting me to be a part of the Design My Adirondack Blog Hop. I had so much FUN designing my chair. My inspiration came from my trip to Puerto Rico this past June where I taught several Sizzix workshops. I met the most amazing women while I was there. They truly filled my heart with Love and Creative Motivation.

I will never forget you and the joy that you brought to me. Te amo mucho!

This Chair is for you!

I used my Sizzix Big Shot and some of my most favorite dies.

Sizzix Big Shot Die Cutting Machine #655268, Dies by Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers 656640, Beth Reames 3-D Flower 656545, Enjoy 656566, Dream 656565 and Emily Humble Decorative Accent Swirl #3 656529.

I also used white vinyl for my flowers, Viva Decor Modeling Grass, Beaded Fringe, Peacock Feathers, Cabochons, Hot Fix Crystals, Zebra Fabric and LOTS of Aleene’s Tacky Glue

I painted my chair Turquoise Sea SR1109 Valspar Signature Color Seaside Retreat from Lowe’s

Then I laid out my designs in the form of Tattoo’s on what I would call the Shoulder, Arm, Belly and Ankle of the chair.

Here is the Shoulder with Hot Fix Crystals running down its Arm, titled Enjoy Life!

Here is my Chairs Belly, titled Dream Big!

and here is its Ankle with a little swirl and layered tattered flower.
