Television / Manufacturer Spokesperson
Understanding the power of television, Julianna began her career in 1991 on the “Aleene’s Creative Living” TV show on TNN, which at that time was America’s #1-rated craft show. She worked with the show as a Co-Host, segment producer, and demonstrator. In 1998, she produced and hosted her own cable television show, “The Creative Corner with Julianna”, which was available in 8 million households in the United States.
Her experience and on-air appeal has provided her with many opportunities to speak on behalf of the industry to crafts manufacturers and retailers. From 1997 - 2000, Julianna was the television spokesperson for seven hundred and fifty Ben Franklin Crafts and Ben Franklin Variety Stores in the US. With her substantial experience in television, Julianna has hosted and produced a number of how-to craft videos, including videos demonstrating her own beading and wire designs. In addition, she has made regular appearances on the “Carol Duval” show on HGTV, Scrapbook Memories on PBS, “DIY Scrapbooking”, “Home Matters” on the Discovery Channel, Shop At Home TV, Home Shopping Network, QVC and Jewelry Television Network.
Designer/Author
Leveraging her popularity on TV and working with manufacturers and retailers, she is author of four books: Bead It and More Bead It (published by Aleene’s), Scrappin’ with Wire and Sparkle and Shimmer (published by Design Originals), and contributor to Barbra McGuire’s Wire Design book published by Krause Publications. In addition Julianna’s work has been featured in a wide variety of magazines, including Crafts, Memory Makers, Arts & Crafts, Creating Keepsakes, Club Scrap, “Creative Living” published by Aleene’s, and trade publications such as CNA, Craftrends, and Scrapbook Retailer.
Product Development/Licensing
Julianna has developed products and kits for a variety of craft companies, including Inspirations by Julianna, Artistic Wire and JewelCraft. In addition to development, she was responsible for sourcing, packaging, and creation of name brand recognition for the programs she developed.
Business & Marketing Support
As a business owner and consultant, Julianna has many years of experience in operations, sales, marketing and public relations. This experience has provided her a solid practical background in the world of Hobby & Crafts.
She has worked as a business consultant, for numerous companies including Ellison, Delta Technical Coatings, Artistic Wire, Krylon, Janlynn, Colorbok and Promotions Unlimited. On behalf of these companies Julianna has created and presented hundreds of projects in both print and media outlets. She is also experienced in TV, Video, DVD, and CD production for consumer and retail education. Julianna’s work has included creating and overseeing designer relations programs and management of over 50 sales reps in the US.
Julianna has launched several companies including Inspirations by Julianna a bead kit supplier, JewelCraft LLC a direct importer and manufacture of beads and accessories and Julianna Productions a multi media company. Her responsibilities included implementation of a UPC bar coding structure for over 1000 SKU product line, international sourcing and purchasing services, development of Plan-o-grams, and overall responsibility of the daily operation for each company.
